Chlorine & Derivatives

Chlorine & Derivatives
TPL produces Chlorine using a chlor-alkali process.
TPL’s process involves the electrolysis of aqueous sodium chloride (brine) in a membrane cell.
By-products from this process include Hydrogen and chlorine derivatives such as Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Hypo Chlorite. Hydrogen is used in the hydrogenation of edible oils, and other chlorine derivatives are majorly used in the water treatment, disinfectant sectors.
